Born in Avilés (Asturias) in 1972. He begins his musical studies when he is 9 years old, studying clarinet and piano. First Prize and Master Degree with Honours in the specialty of clarinet. In 1992 he goes to Karlsruhe (Germany) where he continuous his studies of clarinet with professor Wolfgang Meyer in the Hochschule für Musik Karlsruhe. He has worked with clarinettists like Jose Luis Estellés (Orchestra City of Granada), Peter Handsworth (Conservatory of Melbourne), Enric Perez (ONE) and received masterclasses with professors Michelle Carulli, Hans Lemser, Hans Deinzer, Eddie Daniels, Sabine Meyer, Guy Deplus, Colin Bradbury, among others.
He has been member of the Young National Orchestra of Spain (JONDE). And he has collaborated with diverse symphony orchestras of Germany like the Frankfurt Barock Orchestra, in Spain with the National Orchestra of Spain (ONE) and he has been founder member of the Iberian Octet and the Quintet Tempus.
Within education it has given classes of clarinet in the Conservatory of Avilés and at the present time it continues its educational work giving classes in the JOSPA (Young symphony orchestra of the Principality of Asturias).
Since 1994 he is Co-Principal clarinet of the Orquesta Sinfónica del Principado de Asturias (OSPA)
Daniel Sanchez arranges his race like clarinettist with his other facet like composer; in recent years he has intensified the production in this scope. Recently, some of their works have been performed with the OSPA, OSCO, JOSPA and some chamber music ensembles.
