Soprano Alicia Amo obtained her vocal degrees from Musikene (San Sebastián) and Graz while participating in opera studios with Alberto Zedda and René Jacobs. She won international singing competitions in Granada, Berlin, Manhattan, and Naples.
Her vocal versatility allows her to cover repertoire spanning the 16th to 21st centuries, both for stage and concert performances. She has sung as a soloist with orchestras such as the Spanish National Orchestra, RTVE Symphony Orchestra, Bilbao and Basque National Orchestras, City of Granada, Tenerife Symphony Orchestra, Les Musiciens du Louvre, Il Giardino Armonico, La Cetra Basel, Il Pomo d’Oro, Balthasar Neumann Orchestra, Israel Chamber Orchestra, Zurich Chamber, Düsseldorf Philharmonic, Bochum Philharmonic, and Haydn Philharmonic Orchestras
She has recorded for Harmonia Mundi, Alpha, Arcana, Aparté, Tactus, Naïve, Mezzo, Radio Nacional de España, Westdeutscher Rundfunk, and Radio Swiss Classic.
In 2013, she co-founded the ensemble Musica Boscareccia with Andoni Mercero, whose debut album was nominated for an ICMA award. She teaches singing masterclasses organized by the Universities of Burgos and Murcia and has completed training at the University of Valladolid in educational innovation for artistic studies.
