Ander Perrino borned in Vitoria-Gasteiz in 1986, Ander Perrino is one of the most renowned double bass players of his generation. He moved to Berlin in 2007 to study double bass at the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler, and since the beginning of his professional career, Perrino has been invited as first double bass by the best orchestras in the world. He has held the position of Principal Double Bassist with the Deutsches Sinfonie-Orchester Berlin since 2015.

He has numerous projects, including the company Linien Soundkraft, created together with the oboist Maria Lindo to merge music with other artistic disciplines. Such as the innovation of the musical story El niño y la bestia (The Boy and the Beast), written and narrated by Elvira Lindo.

Ander Perrino began writing his own music in 2020, elaborating his first project with music inspired by Basque emigration to America over the centuries, where the musical fusion between both cultures, and the book La transparencia del tiempo by the Cuban writer Leonardo Padura were his main inspiration. He recently premiered his Concerto for double bass and winds with the Vitoria Municipal Band, conducted by Luis Orduña.

His work Cinco relatos cortos, for English horn and bassoon, has been recorded on the album Maria Lindo, English Horn by the Ibs Classical label.

In 2010, Ander Perrino made his debut as a soloist with the Orquesta Sinfónica de Euskadi conducted by Andres Orozco Estrada, performing Nino Rota’s Divertimento concertante for double bass and orchestra, and participated in the Prague Double Bass Convention in 2016, performing a recital with pianist Jarkko Riihimäki.

Ander Perrino made his first CD with original sonatas for double bass and piano with the Label IBS Classical in 2022 and came out in December 2023.
