Renowned for his profound musicality and expressive sound, Jesús Reina, from Málaga, is a leading figure on the contemporary violin scene. His talent and interpretive sensitivity have led him to perform in prestigious venues such as Wigmore Hall and the Royal Festival Hall in London, Carnegie Hall in New York, the Saint Petersburg Philharmonic, the National Auditorium of Madrid, and the Palau de la Música Catalana in Barcelona.

From an early age, Reina displayed an exceptional connection with the violin. He began his training with his grandfather, José Reina, before moving to the Yehudi Menuhin School to study with Natasha Boyarskaya and Menuhin himself. He later continued his education at the Reina Sofía School of Music with José Luis García Asensio, at Indiana University with Mauricio Fuks, and at the Manhattan School of Music with Patinka Kopec and Pinchas Zukerman. He has performed as a soloist with the Mariinsky Theatre Philharmonic Orchestra, the Munich Chamber Orchestra, the Barcelona Symphony Orchestra, and the Málaga Philharmonic, under the baton of conductors such as Valery Gergiev, Pinchas Zukerman, Manuel Hernández Silva, and Eiji Oue.

His passion for chamber music has led him to share the stage with renowned musicians. He has participated in prestigious festivals such as the Miami Piano Festival, Music@Menlo in California, Fêtes Musicales and the Pau Casals Festival in France, the Sonoro Festival in Romania, as well as the San Sebastián Musical Fortnight and the El Escorial Festival in Spain.

In 2025, Jesús Reina was appointed Artist-in-Residence with the Almería City Orchestra (OCAL), where he collaborates as a soloist in symphonic concerts, teaches in training programs for young musicians, and is a member of chamber ensembles. Committed to education and musical development, he is co-founder and co-artistic director, along with violinist Anna Nilsen, of the Málaga Clásica Festival and the Galamian Academy, a leading institution for the development of young musicians. His work has been recognized with the Medal of Honor of Málaga and the Puerta de Andalucía Award. In addition to his performing career, he serves as a judge on the Canal Sur television program Tierra de Talento, bringing classical music to new audiences and collaborating with artists from diverse genres.
