María Lindo

Oboe/English Horn

María Lindo was born in Madrid in 1982 and resided in Aranjuez until her arrival in Berlin, where she studied at the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler and completed her musical training with a master’s degree under Professor Nick Deutsch at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy in Leipzig. She discovered the English Horn with Professor Gerd Albrecht Kleinfeld in Berlin and continued her studies with Professor Gundel Janneman-Fischer in Leipzig, specializing in solo repertoire and chamber music.

She made her solo debut with Ermanno Wolf-Ferrari’s Concertino for English Horn op.34 with the Northwest German Philharmonic Orchestra under the direction of Gustavo Gimeno. María Lindo has collaborated with symphony and opera orchestras such as Kammerakademie Potsdam, Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester, Deutsche Oper Berlin, Mahler Chamber Orchestra, WDR Rundfunkorchester Köln, Budapest Festival Orchestra, and Ensemble Resonanz.

María Lindo is the artistic director of the Linien Soundkraft company, where she undertakes projects that blend music with other arts. In 2023, she released her first album, “María Lindo, English Horn,” for English Horn with the Ibs Classical record label.
